Why we built NV
Change your phone number once and watch half your contacts quietly lose you. A stranger asks for your number, you give it, and it drifts off to who-knows-where. You spend years building an audience on someone else's app — except it was never really yours; the algorithm shows your posts when it feels like it. Someone sends you a "gift" and it flashes on the screen for a second, then it's gone.
All of it has one thing in common: none of it is actually yours. You're just renting.
That's the frustration NV grew out of. We didn't set out to make one more messenger. We wanted the things that make up your online life to genuinely belong to you.
Privacy that's on from the start On most apps you have to go dig for privacy and switch it on. NV works the other way around — the safe choice is already the default. Your last-seen, your read receipts, who's even allowed to message you: you loosen those only when you decide to, not the other way round.
You don't have to hand out your real number either. Every NV account can carry a +777 number that lives entirely inside the app. People call you and find you — without ever seeing the SIM in your pocket.
Yours means yours Your username, your +777 number, your collectibles — these aren't settings buried three menus deep. They're things you own. Keep them, show them on your profile, gift them to a friend, or sell them on the marketplace. That's what ownership actually means: you can walk away with it, and nobody can quietly take it back.
Talk, discover, earn — one app Online, people mostly do three things: they talk, they follow, and some of them create. Most apps pick one and bolt the rest on badly. We built for all three from the first screen — fast private chats and calls, a feed and channels worth following, and a way for creators to turn attention into real income instead of vanity numbers.
Fast, because your time matters A slow app quietly steals your day. So we're a little obsessive about this — scrolling a feed, opening a chat, flying through photos should never make you wait. You may not be able to name it, but you feel it the moment it's missing.
We're just getting started NV is young and moving quickly. Plenty is still being polished, and we'd rather ship and improve than wait for perfect. But one thing won't move: your identity, your content, and your money are yours. We measure every release against that.
Welcome to NV. Make it yours.
